Volunteer in Cambodia with Greenheart Travel
Experience the special and unique culture of Cambodia as tourists rarely do while you live and work among the people of a beach town and become a part of their community. Greenheart Travel’s volunteer program in Cambodia is ideal for adult participants who have skills and experience with the arts and enjoy working with children. Founded by a professional artist, this non profit NGO is based on the belief that education and creative expression are antidotes to poverty and exploitation. The art center provides neglected, abused and impoverished children ages 5 to 15 with the opportunity to develop their imaginations and skills through painting. The center is a safe, stable and emotionally supportive social environment that aims to help ease the stress and chaos the children experience in their everyday lives.
The permanent project manager and staff provide friendly support and assistance throughout the program. Greenheart Travel is a division of CCI, a non profit founded in 1985 and run by seasoned travel enthusiasts who regularly participate in their own cultural exchanges.

Cambodian Children's Home
The Cambodian Children's House of Peace is a home for destitute rural children many of whom have lost at least one parent. We welcome volunteers with fluent English language skills to work with our children. Volunteers with a background in education are particularly useful as are those with a TEFL qualification. We also need people with other skills such as art, sports, health, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, building as both staff and children need such vocational training.

Volunteer Teaching English in Cambodia
As a Cambodia volunteer in English teaching project, you will have a lot to offer to these children who go to public/community schools. Volunteers can also help the university students by offering leadership qualities and build their confidence with good English pronunciation and conversation skills. The volunteers can also assist and aid the other teachers in their teaching methods. This project welcomes any volunteers who have working knowledge of English and teaching skills and experience is not a must but if one possesses, that would be an added and valued asset.

STAR Kampuchea
Volunteer Action for Cambodia
The program “Volunteer Action for Cambodia” (VAC) is organized by STAR Kampuchea, a Cambodian non-governmental organization. It is our mission to build up democracy and to strengthen civil society in our country. VAC was established in December 2004 and is run by Cambodian volunteers. The VAC program invites volunteers from all over the world to work with Cambodian non-governmental organizations. The idea is to bring foreign volunteers to Cambodia to exchange cultural and work experience and to contribute new impulses and fresh ideas to both Cambodian and the volunteers’ home society. VAC is designed primarily for college students and recent graduates. We help the volunteers to find a suitable placement and to organize their stay in Cambodia. The length of stay depends on the volunteer’s interests and varies between one week and three months. To gain a deep insight into the organizations and their activities a minimum stay of three weeks is recommended.
