Kelby Hartson Carr is an Asheville, N.C. mother of three, a seasoned travel writer, and has extensive experience traveling with children. Her work has appeared in newspapers, on news wires, in national magazines, and on the Web.
She has received the National Association of Press Women's first place award for travel writing. By the time her daughter turned two, she and her family had traveled to six countries together and by nearly all transportation methods, including car, bus, airplane, cruise ship and train. She lived with her husband and first child in France for a year, traveling extensively throughout Europe.
