SL Volunteers is a Graduate Volunteer Organisation
based in the South of Sri Lanka, placements include; working
at Children's homes and Special Needs Centers, teaching English
and coaching sport.
SL Volunteers provide graduate volunteers with an opportunity to gain practical experience contributing to community development abroad. Through the scheme, Volunteers are challenged by situations demanding sensitivity to cross-cultural communication and are poised to assume a leadership role through community teaching and social work. Additionally, SL Volunteers works to ensure that volunteers are given the required in-country training by local NGOs, charities and social workers and that placement costs are kept low.
