WorldTeach provides an educational and cultural immersion where volunteers teach elementary to high school age youth conversational English skills, grammar, and American culture. Placements are in both rural and urban settings for 8 weeks during the summer.

Witness to History: From the Holocaust to the Revival of Jewish Life in Poland
In this program, you will learn about Jewish life in Poland, tracing events from before the terror of the Holocaust to contemporary efforts to revive Jewish life and culture. People of all faiths and backgrounds are invited to participate in this
journey. Travel between Krakow and Oswiecim Poland, immersing yourself in the local culture and learning about life there during WWII. you will travel by a short bus ride to the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. You will spend five days here
and help preserve memory through hands-on service at Auschwitz and at the nearby Jewish cemetery. At the program's end you will be a stronger witness for Remembrance, for contemporary genocide prevention and for triumph of life over terror.
Service Civil International Workcamps SCI US
SCI is an exchange organization that sends volunteers on 2-3 week international work projects and long term 3-12 month opportunities in over 50 countries, including Poland. For all overseas camps the fee is US$235. Workcamps include shared accommodations, group self-cooked meals and basic health/accident insurance, without additional cost, unless otherwise noted in the camp description. SCI promotes voluntary service to impact social, environmental and humanitarian issues.
