DiversityAbroad.com provides a comprehensive and up-to-date commercial education abroad website with search provisions, with an emphasis on reflecting and engaging minorites in the field of study abroad and other international programs..

GoAbroad.com is a commercial education abroad website with search provisions. The site is strongly ad-driven, but now includes more content.

Institute of International Education (IIE) publishes the most comprehensive data on study and work abroad programs. IIE Passport is a user-friendly search engine which lets you find the program characteristics you're interested in, such as location and language of instruction. Includes the entire contents of the IIE books Academic Year Abroad and Vacation Study Abroad.

International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) is a nonprofit organization which offers grants for study abroad worldwide.

Studyabroad.com is a commercial database of study abroad programs as well as special databases for language courses and internships/volunteer programs. Information limited to location and subject.

TransitionsAbroad.com is unique in its coverage of all education abroad options, from study abroad to educational travel at all ages. The site offers full and free access to its database of resources and first-hand reports compiled by international education specialists and program participants since 1977, as well as study abroad writing contest winners.

Univ. of California-Irvine, International Opportunities Program provides extensive recommended directories (not databases) of study abroad, summer programs, internships, research, teaching, volunteering and work abroad programs with links to many other education abroad websites.

Univ. of Michigan, International Center's Overseas Opportunities Office is not so much a database, but a directory, a collection of outstanding articles, annotated links, and print resources for study, work, and travel abroad, including in-depth reports on work abroad options.

Univ. of Minnesota, Global Programs and Strategy Alliance is a website with outstanding search provisions and outstanding resources for study and travel abroad.

Wandering Educators is a study abroad and travel library hosted by an expert in international education, with many regular contributors, and featuring many thousands of first-hand articles, book reviews, and other information useful for students and those who practice independent educational travel at all ages.

Africa

Study in Africa Is part of a website hosted by Michigan State University's African Studies Center, includes an extensive list of study abroad programs offered by U.S. institutions, with descriptions, contact information, and links for email and websites. Univ. of Pennsylvania, The Africa Center offers a huge number of links to sites for African and African-American studies.

Asia

Australia: Future Unlimited is the official Australia Government website for international students.

Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and the NIS

American Association of Teachers of Slavic & East European Languages (AATSEEL) is, a professional association website which includes study abroad internships, scholarships and career information related to Central and East European Studies.

Western Europe

American-Scandinavian Foundation includes a comprehensive directory of study, language, and work abroad programs in all Scandinavian countries, including U.S.-sponsored programs.

Cultural Vistas offers several paid study-internship programs in Germany for students, graduates, and professionals. Web site provides program information and listings of current internship openings plus links for information about Germany.

Cultural Services of the French Embassy site for information on teaching assistantships in France, and more.

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides comprehensive official information on direct enrollment, degree study, and scholarships for Germany. Links to German universities and to DAAD's guide to Study and Research in Germany (aka "Surfin' Germany").

Universities in the UK provides free information and advice about studying abroad from English universities.

Latin America

Univ. of Texas, Latin American Network Information Center (LANIC) is an exhaustive source for academic information on Latin America. The countries section provides links to host-country universities, media, country, travel information, and much more.

Middle East
