University of Cambridge Summer Study Abroad

University of Cambridge International Summer Schools
Enjoy a period of summer study in the beautiful city of Cambridge, England. Students can study for one to six weeks and choose from a wide variety of specialist subjects including Literature, Art History, Science, Medieval Studies, Shakespeare and History or opt for a more interdisciplinary programme choosing subject areas according to their specific interests. There is also an English for Academic Purposes programme for students who wish to perfect their English language skills, and an IELTS Preparation Course for students who are looking to improve their English and test their abilities at the end of a three-week intensive programme. Anyone over the age of 18 who is fluent in English is welcome on the programmes, which are all taught by leading experts in their field. While studying in Cambridge students can stay in the historic colleges and also take part in a number of weekend excursions and attend evening lectures and social events.

British Studies at Oxford
This program of study in one of the world's most prestigious universities offers undergraduate and graduate credit in art history, business, communication, drama, education, English literature, history, and political science taught by Oxford Univ. professors. Travel Writing Workshops
Travel Writing Workshop
A day-long workshop for those new to travel writing or who would like to improve their writing skills.
Suitable for those who want to write articles or books, this small, intensive workshop, led by award-winning writers Dea Birkett and Rory Maclean, aims to make an editor or publisher only say 'Yes!'
Included in the day is a 'pitching session' with an editor from a national publication. Many participants get their first pieces into print as a result of pitching here.
Travel Writing Masterclass
A day-long, small, intensive travel writing workshop for those who have some experience of travel writing or have already attended the Travel Writing Workshop.
Led by tutors Dea Birkett and Rory Maclean, participants work on a piece of writing to get it to perfection. The day includes one-on-one sessions with Rory and Dea.
As one participant said, 'This single day with Dea and Rory has refocussed by whole life.'
