Eurointerns
Volunteer English Teaching in the Spanish Countryside
You will pair with Spanish participants in an English language village in the Spanish countryside. For one week you will rotate daily among the Spanish professionals whose aim it is to learn English through conversation, making friends and experiencing this fascinating linguistic, cultural and social event.Your role will be to expose Spaniards over a 7-day period to non-stop English as it is spoken outside the classroom. No grammer teaching. You will rotate on an hourly basis from one Spaniard to another and talk, talk, talk. These camps, commencing weekly year-long, offer intern posts to native English speakers with no previous experience, willing to converse on a one-to-one basis with a group of approximately 20 Spaniards learning English. "Work" will take place through sports, meals, games, drama, arts and music, etc. You will be provided with lodging and food in a hotel atmosphere during the camp session. Following your week of exposure to authentic Spanish and Spain through this experience there are optional post-camp Spanish language classes to boost your confidence and help you to adjust your own Spanish language level.
