Cambodian Children's Home
The Cambodian Children's House of Peace is a home for destitute rural children many of whom have lost at least one parent. We welcome volunteers with fluent English language skills to work with our children. Volunteers with a background in education are particularly useful as are those with a TEFL qualification. We also need people with other skills such as art, sports, health, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, building as both staff and children need such vocational training.

GlobeAware
Volunteer in Cambodia
Globe Aware's program is situated in Siem Reap, the gateway to the famous Angkor Wat temples. As so many have been maimed by landmines, Globe Aware is now developing a project assembling wheelchairs from recycled parts. Volunteers need no special skills, and will present finished product to recipients upon completion. In addition, as Cambodia's citizens are among the poorest on the globe. children have severely limited access and knowledge to choose future life paths. Parents want their children to have additional options in life, by offering them some instruction in English, computers (how to send email, to use Word, etc) hospitality skills, first aid etc. Volunteers may help teach children in the village school. A set itinerary is created, though there is ample room to pick and choose projects that appeal to you the most.

STAR Kampuchea
Volunteer Action for Cambodia
The program “Volunteer Action for Cambodia” (VAC) is organized by STAR Kampuchea, a Cambodian non-governmental organization. It is our mission to build up democracy and to strengthen civil society in our country. VAC was established in December 2004 and is run by Cambodian volunteers. The VAC program invites volunteers from all over the world to work with Cambodian non-governmental organizations. The idea is to bring foreign volunteers to Cambodia to exchange cultural and work experience and to contribute new impulses and fresh ideas to both Cambodian and the volunteers’ home society. VAC is designed primarily for college students and recent graduates. We help the volunteers to find a suitable placement and to organize their stay in Cambodia. The length of stay depends on the volunteer’s interests and varies between one week and three months. To gain a deep insight into the organizations and
their activities a minimum stay of three weeks is recommended.
